Award-winning conference features more than 40 dynamic sessions

CHICAGO – August 16, 2021 – American Health Information Management Association CEO Wylecia Wiggs Harris, PhD, CAE, said today the AHIMA21 Virtual Conference, taking place Sept. 20-22, 2021, will feature a number of can’t-miss sessions for health information professionals and healthcare journalists.  

“I’m excited health information professionals can attend critical AHIMA21 sessions while earning CEUs from the comfort and safety of their homes,” said AHIMA CEO Wylecia Wiggs Harris, PhD, CAE. “We also invite journalists to cover the meeting, as presenters will discuss important topics relevant to the health information profession and the entire healthcare ecosystem.”

AHIMA21 comes on the heels of AHIMA20, which was the Association’s first-ever virtual annual conference. AHIMA20 was named Virtual Event of the Year at the 2021 Medigy HITMC Awards. The award’s judges said last year’s conference “combined great keynotes and educational breakouts with a solid virtual conference technology to offer attendees a low glitch experience. Even the virtual exhibit hall was well put together.”
